Folks, when I was installing my probe yesterday I noted that the black wire coating about 1/2 point had a little crack in it, I could see what appears to be shiny shield wire through the small crack. My smoker isn't 1 year old and I've used it maybe a dozen times. I'm very careful with my probes, wipe it down after each use, re-install the plastic protector on the tip, and coil it back in the little bag it came in. Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so what did you do? Would...

Hello, new to smoking. I want to purchase a Signal 4 channel thermometer for my SM009 smoker. What is the best way to run the wires into the smoker, thru the vent hole? Thanks in advanced. Dan

I purchased the Grille Eye Pro and absolutely love it! It has 8 inputs! The only problem I found with using it with my FEC 100, is the FEC is stainless and the Grille Eye Pro magnet won't stick to it. I also found that I could purchase cheaper additional probes instead of the Grille Eye Pro probes. Amazon has a 4 pack of additional probes under the title of 'Cookingstar 4 pack meat probe" for $37.99 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PGCVH47 that work perfectly with the Grille Eye Pro. The Grille...

I am looking for a thermometer that will send the readings to my iPhone through the internet. Would like to monitor long smokes while at work and not be tied to the smoker all day which will allow me to smoke more often during the week. I have read the reviews on Tappecue. Does anyone heave any experience with it or any other wifi capable thermometer? I searched the forum and didn't see anything dealing with wifi...just wireless Bluetooth devices. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried this one yet. I have used it twice and I love it! It has a remote transmitter and dual probes. It lets you set one probe for the smoker inside temp and the second probe for the internal meat temp. It also lets you adjust your temperature setting for your specific taste.

Does anyone know if there is a reasonable alternative to the temperature probe that came with my Smokette SM025? By alternative I mean another brand that doesn't cost $86 but will work with my unit like the original? Also has anyone else had a problem with their original temperature meat probe? Mine no longer reads and it looks like the wires are loose. I love Cookshack Smokers but am very disappointed with the temperature probe prematurely wearing out. I have only used it possibly 20 times...

I bought a ThermoWorks Smoke, and went to try it out while I was doing a small Pork Butt. I couldn't get their Meat probe through the vent hole in my 045. They come standard with a bent meat probe. These probes have large head on them and with the bend in the probe, they just will not go through the hole. I ended up using the straight "Air Probe" in the Butt. The straight probes work fine. I have ordered 2 straight meat probes for it. I think I am going to like this unit. I have been using...

If it's not already available you know it's got to be in the works... a thermometer that can pick up a WiFi signal that you can connect to remotely via browser on your computer, or mobile device. Seen anything like it yet?

I've been using this for a few months now, so I though I would post a review. This temp unit comes in a package that reminds me of the old ipods. It's charged via the USB port. You can set this unit up via the app on your phone or ipad to connect to your wifi access point and provide you with temps wherever you go. This requires a gmail account. Alternatively, you can set it up as a independent wireless access point that you connect to with the app. The sample time can be configured from the...

And I am very impressed. Was doing a turkey yesterday and prior to the iGrill2, I was using a Taylor remote which always did a good job. But I am sold on the iGrill2, with two probes. I never really knew what my 055 was doing while it worked, other than a few spot checks from time to time. But with the iGrill2, I could see the flucuations and tell it was working properly. I had set 225 for a temp and it would cycle between 190 and 230 on a regular basis. Good enough for me. As for the...

Hello All, I recently purchased a Cookshack Smokette Elite 025 and I already had an iGrill meat thermometer which I liked to use. The new smoker came with a built in meat probe, but I like the remote monitoring of the iGrill. Unfortunately the vent hole on the top of the smoker was not large enough to fish the iGrill probe through. Comparing it to the meat probe that came with the smoker I noticed the iGrill probe was a 90 degree bend and the smoker probe was about a 60 degree bend.
